Ming Chen
I am Ming Chen, consultant within the Digital Society & Industrial Innovation team at TNO Vector. As an econometrician, I have a keen eye for systemic effects that digital innovations can cause.
I therefore devote a large part of my time to strategic forecasting and impact assessment studies (mainly EU, but also national and sector level). To achieve realistic and effective recommendations, I try to use a broad societal welfare perspective to connect the macro and micro levels; besides the economy, there are many other aspects that determine our welfare and every person has his own possibilities and needs.
After my studies I started in the field of 'mobility and logistics' and gradually broadened my knowledge to various other areas (including climate, raw materials, digitization, innovation) and have gained experience in various sub-aspects (including data/information systems, models, methods, foresight, policy).
