Hettie Boonman
I am Hettie Boonman, an economist researcher at TNO. One of my main responsibilities at TNO is working with economic and environmental impact assessment models, where I model policy scenarios using a Computational General Equilibrium model, EXIOMOD.
In addition, I am involved in the development of a spatial equilibrium model, ORANGE. This model allows us to assess (spatial) distributional effects of policy measures and behavioral changes.
I hold a Ph.D. degree in Economics and a Master of Science degree in Economics and Quantitative Finance and Actuarial Sciences from Tilburg University. My Ph.D. research lies at the intersection of industrial organization and real options theory. The research focused on determining optimal investment decisions in an uncertain market.
Through my work, I aim to provide quantitative insights into the world of tomorrow, enabling well-founded decision-making today.
