Geiske Bouma
I am Geiske Bouma, senior researcher in the field of spatial planning, transitions and urban innovation at TNO Vector. In my work, with a specialisation in spatial development and governance innovation, I focus on urban issues and the connection to policy and governance.
Within TNO Vector, I am active on the project portfolio around Climate Neutral and Smart Cities. This includes projects on the energy transition, mobility transition, healthy living environment and I combine this with supporting policy development at local, regional and national/EU level.
Especially in cities, all challenges come together, the pressure on space is high and this requires cooperation between stakeholders and across domains. I develop approaches and working methods in cooperation with various cities to help cities accelerate towards their climate-neutral goals. That cooperation, tackling the challenges, connecting from both content and process, is what energises me.
