Andrea Kerstens
I'm Andrea Kerstens - a researcher specializing in business models and innovation at TNO Vector. My passion lies in exploring the role of innovation intermediaries and collaborative open innovation within the context of new digital technologies.
With a Master's degree in Economics and a soon-to-be-started PhD in innovation management, I strive to make a tangible impact on society's most pressing issues through my work. I achieve this by conducting action research, where I closely collaborate with stakeholders to identify problems, design innovative solutions, and implement them in real-world settings. This approach ensures that the proposed solutions are both feasible and effective, while addressing the needs and perspectives of all involved parties. Moreover, this collaborative process helps build trust and support among stakeholders, which makes it more likely that they will adopt and implement the proposed solutions.
Through my research, I aspire to create innovative solutions that not only address societal problems, but also generate new knowledge that informs future research and policy-making. Ultimately, I believe that this approach can help build more resilient and sustainable systems that can better tackle the complex challenges facing our society.
