Hade Dorst
I am Hade Dorst, researcher and advisor in the field of urban sustainability transitions at TNO Vector. With a background in (urban) geography and sustainability transitions, I mainly support the public sector – from local to EU level – in the fundamental spatial and governance changes required by improving urban sustainability. I enjoy contributing to making cities more sustainable and attractive, for example by using nature – in my dissertation on this subject I investigated how nature-based solutions can be applied on a larger scale.
I am also interested in enabling cross-sectoral and integrated governance and decision-making to tackle societal challenges like climate change. At TNO Vector I hope to make an impact by acquiring scientific knowledge about the sustainable city and urban decision-making and translating it into practice, in order to improve decision-making and dialogue about the sustainable city and also, where necessary, to facilitate physical spatial transformations.
