Digital collaboration in the supply chain is one of the means for manufacturing companies to increase efficiency and reduce costs. However, various supply chain partners do not collaborate in a digital way yet since they use different and noninterconnected ICT systems. In order to solve this challenge, the partners of the Smart Connected Supplier Network (SCSN) digital innovation hub developed a standard for information sharing based on semantic technology, thereby ensuring optimal interoperability between the supply chain partners for the most prominent information streams.

TNO initiated a study to innovatively combine sustainable and collaborative business models and the field of transition studies. Gemeenten bepalen welke warmtevoorziening er in de wijken komt, ter vervanging van het aardgas. Bij een nieuwe infrastructuur wijzen zij de onderneming aan, die de voorziening gaat aanleggen en exploiteren. De keuze van de gemeente kunnen voor decennia bepalen hoe de warmtevoorziening in de wijk eruitzien.

De transitie naar aardgasvrije wijken staat bij gemeenten hoog op de agenda met als doel de noodzakelijke CO2-reductie te realiseren. Het Klimaatakkoord schrijft voor dat de gebouwde omgeving in 2050 volledig aardgasvrij is. Daar is veel innovatie voor nodig op verschillende vlakken. Een transitie vereist niet alleennieuwe technologieën, maar ook nieuwe manieren van werken, nieuwe gewoonten, rollen, investeringsmodellen en een op maat gemaakt ondersteunend instrumentarium.

Idealiter is data vrij toegankelijk, maar de realiteit is vaak anders. De data houdt zich vaak op bij verschillende organisaties die zelfstandig keuzes maken over wie de data mag gebruiken en waarvoor. Data heeft waarde, en mag daarom soms niet of beperkt gedeeld worden. Er kunnen kosten mee gemoeid zijn met het beschikbaar stellen van de data.
